The Oracle Chronicles

The Oracle Chronicles is a completed high fantasy quartet. It toes the line of being dark fantasy (Dim fantasy? Gray fantasy?) but has heroes fighting for good and a thread of hope running through it.

While I am currently querying book 1, The Granite Kingdom, to agents, I know it's a hard sell. It's 150 thousand words, which is longer than most publishers want in an unknown author.  It's part of a series and cannot stand alone. Publishers don't always want to strike a 3 or 4 book deal. In light of that, unless a request for a partial or full shows up in my inbox, the Oracle Chronicles are on the back burner. The first one is edited and polished. The Second one is partially edited. Eventually, they'll all be done, and I'll decide what to do with them.

Meanwhile, you can meet some of the important characters (all art is mine):
For two decades, Princess Zehra has been plagued with visions of the future. Although her visions are often vague and difficult to understand, one thing is clear: a dire threat is coming over the northern mountains, and they are running out of time. As every defense fails, Zehra must rely on the visions to keep her people from slaughter.

Emroth is at the head of that threat. After hearing stories of the riches and fertile lands south of the mountains, he amassed an army of sorcerers, shape-shifters, and giant beasts. The further his forces go, the more desperate they become. If they run out of supplies, they're done for.

When Prince Jubair's ability to shapeshift was discovered, he was abandoned and disowned by his father. Captured in battle years before, he's finally found an opportunity to escape. He can't return home, and as he makes his way through the wilderness, he discovers that the empire is in danger, and some of the enemies are in the imperial palace itself.
